Brett Harshbarger

Associate

Brett Harshbarger is an Associate at Herischi & Associates LLC. Her interests are in international human rights law, immigration law, international commercial arbitration and national security law. 

Prior to joining Herischi & Associates LLC, Ms. Harshbarger was a student at The George Washington University Law School, where she was a Managing Editor of the International Law Review, a Moot Court Board member, an Advanced Dispute Resolution (ADR) Honor Board member, and captain of the 2018-2019 GW Law Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team. She served as a Student Attorney in GW Law’s International Human Rights Clinic in Fall 2018, and earned a J.D. with Honors in Spring 2019. Ms. Harshbarger interned during the summers with the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) in 2017, where she contributed research to ADC’s amicus brief on President Trump’s travel ban, and with the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) in 2018, where she worked on a white paper for the organization on the topic of internet-facilitated child sex trafficking. 

Ms. Harshbarger received her B.A. from Harvard University in 2012 in the field of Studies of Women, Gender and Sexuality, and received her J.D. with Honors from The George Washington University Law School in 2019, with a focus in International Law and National Security Law. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
